Dude, the 90s are back!! Cropped tops, overalls, and music. Okay, music never really disappeared (hello, BSB!)– I still jam to them daily. I will always be a fan of boybands. Judge me, I don’t care. Anyways, I went out and bought a pair of overalls a few months back and do you know how uncomfortable it is to wear overalls? This is a prime example of why girls go out of their way to be uncomfortable…ALL FOR A FASHION STATEMENT! Do you think g-strings are comfortable?? NO! They’re not. And neither are overalls. They bunch in the front and ride up you so bad (heaven forbid you have a long torso) and it’s a pain in the behind to go to the bathroom in. You better pray to the lord above that your straps don’t fall into the toilet. But it is cute, nonetheless.

When I’m not working out, updating instagram, playing with my son, or making little posts for my blog– I work at this nail salon called “Nail Pro”. I’ve done nails for a solid 8 years now (typical vietnamese girl, I know. Spare me the jokes!) and one of the perks of doing this job is seeing the local fashion statement that goes in and out of the salon. You have the wannabe jersey shore guidettes, you’ve got the hood rat hooped earring mamas, you have the conservative sweater tied over the shoulder, you’ve got the crop top– You name it and I’ve seen it. With the summer here, I noticed that every group share a common love for dresses. In my opinion, for a day time look, I want a dress that can be flowy and had a nice open back. I love an itty bitty waste with a slightly poofy bottom. This dress I borrowed from my sister: it fitted weird so I tied it at the top.
What is your go to dress?

Weather in DC is definitely reflecting the Spring season. We got to enjoy the nice sun and low 60s while Massachusetts still had low 40s. Warmer weather really puts people in a much better mood. I know I was more energetic and enthusiastic about being outdoors these past few days. Because the weather was so lovely, I took it upon myself to take this opportunity to throw on my favorite casual spring attire! WELCOME SPRING! My personal style is wearing what’s comfortable and cute. I wear basic colors but sometimes I like to add in a vibrant piece just to bring out the outfit. I’m also a broke college student and can’t really afford many name brand things, and that means I shop at places like Charlotte Rousse, Forever 21, and of course Target (or Tarje, if you’re fancy). Brands are nice, and I value the small amount of name brand things that I do have but lack of brand shouldn’t deter you from looking super adorable! I hope you guys like my look!

Hey hey HEY hey! I am now in Arlington, VA– which ain’t nothing but a shuttle ride into Washington DC. Going to spend the weekend networking and understanding the concept of leadership, brand yourself, and also build the foundation to success. While doing so, my lovely gal pal Sarah (an amateur photographer) will be taking the on the role of being my blog photographer. I’m not usually a person who wears business attire on a regular basis but this weekend is an exception and it gave me the opportunity to play dress up. I should get used to this because I intend on being your First Lady one day (David, if you will have me..if not, then…well…Plan B — I become President. Either way, it’s a win-win for me).
Tell me that this head shot does not look business-y to you! TELL ME. Kidding, don’t. I think it looks wonderful and Sarah really captured a good face shot. Normally, I hate pictures of my face. Seriously, it’s not my thing. I often hate my face because I feel that I’m not a very photogenic person. HOWEVER, my lovely photographers can create miracles.
I have been slacking with blogging lately because life has gotten super busy but this weekend is a great time to update a lot because of the multiple things we will be doing. ALSO, I have to actually dress up and not just walk around in gym clothes like a bum. I don’t even know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. We can pretend that it’s a great thing! ENJOY! haha. ❤

We had a bit of a warm front that came through New England. It was warm enough to just wear a sweater and not freeze my bum off! I called my friend/photographer Shawn for a quick impromptu 10 min photoshoot and I think we’re becoming professional at these quick meetings. Ha, I really liked how these photographs turned out.
Hôm nay ấm áp ở New England.

I had to get rid of a lot of stuff in my fridge before it went bad, so I decided to come up with my own recipe. This is my yummy Tofu-Cauliflower Stuffed Peppers. It tastes pretty good if you asked me (my son didn’t spit it out.) Here is the recipe for anyone who is brave enough to try this authentic Christina Le recipe. *best of luck to you*
What you’ll need:
4 cups of Spinach
1 Shallot Onion (taste sweeter)
1/2 regular onion
2 Red Bell Peppers
1 package of extra firm tofu
chopped garlic (2 cloves)
herbes de provence
sea salt and pepper
In a large skillet, slice a couple of of slices off your lemon and bring your water to a boil. While you’re waiting, wash and cut your veggies and tofu. Leave the bottom half of your peppers, unchopped and sliced the other half. Boil your cauliflower until they’re soft and also steam your pepper then remove them from the heat. Return the skillet and pour a dime size of olive oil into your pan. Once it’s warm, toss in your garlic/ regular onion. Then add your tofu and cook until it’s lightly brown and throw in your spinach and sliced peppers. Start adding your spices ( sorry, i didn’t measure because I eyeballed everything–so i would say, whatever you think! haha, sorry!!) I pour a bit of raw honey in because I wanted something kind of sweet too. Once everything is cooked, remove and begin stuffing your peppers. DONE!
The best part of this is that I KNOW this will be a clean meal because I doubt there can be a lot of calories in tofu and vegetables.
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a a pair of skinny jeans, oversized sweater and some cute ankle boots. Most of my fall/winter everyday outfits are similar to this. I just find it comfortable and casual. Plus, you’re never too dressed down or too dressed up. It’s cute!
